Official List of BC Award Marches Toward 10 Golden Years
COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011, the most complete information technology
communication (ICT) supply chain exhibition will hold pre-show
Press Conference of Best Choice Award (known as BC Award) on May 24th,
which the official selection activity is marching toward the 10th anniversary
and the announcement of 34 Award-winning products that these hottest trend products will be exhibited
warm up the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011 set to open on May 31st. The Taipei Computer Association (TCA) retained the Best Choice of the Year till the Opening Ceremony of COMPUTEX TAIPEI. To celebrate 10th anniversary of BC Award,
TCA will hold Media Party for overseas media representative at
BC Award Pavilion booth number I 0307, 5:00PM in afternoon of May 31st,
which will also announce the winner from the most popular media vote.
446 product participants in the contest, to name 34 awarding products
In this year’s contest, BC Award is regarded as purchasing index for buyer,
there were 446 products submitted by nearly 170 exhibitors
from both local and foreign manufacturers including Asustek,
Acer, AMD, VIA Technologies, Giga-Byte, Genius, Promise and Nvidia;
whether from the number of applicants or products were historical record high.
The judgment from the representatives of education and
media sector is very strict on the received products,
finally completing the 34 winners for each product category,
truly reflect the newest trends in ICT industry such as mobile computing,
information entertainment, wireless broadband,
life in cloud computing, etc. (Refer to the enclosure shown below)
Ms. Yeali S. Sun, Chief Director of NTU’s (National Taiwan University) Computer and Information Networking Center, is the representative of Jury Committee,
especially mentioned three major characteristics of BC Award are:
First, the BC Award (Best Choice Award) is a competition participated mostly
by many ICT manufacturers and its uniqueness in the international arena.
Second, the Award itself has kept its pace with age,
and matches the industry trend.
Third, the Jury Committee is formed from the representatives of the industry,
academic and research sectors where this year is particularly different
because of additional and involvement of international professionals,
including distinguish IT website’s Chief Editors from the US/Europe
and also invited two top designers from Denmark to fully participate in the judging process, to select the Best Design Special Award in line with the 10th Anniversary of BC Award,
which represents the uplifting into higher standards and stepping forward internationally.
Ms. Sun implied 2011 BC Award is based on three judging standards
Functionality, Innovation and Market Potential.
Mr. Enoch Du, the secretary general of Taipei Computer
Association (TCA) pointed out the BC Award complied with market trend,
has added two awards this year namely:
Smart Handheld Devices Innovation and
IOT Application. Raising surge of hand-held devices in the world,
various types of Tablet PCs and smartphones becoming the brightest new star products in the market, which encourage both domestic and international manufacturers to invest in research and development actively, undoubtedly the hottest product and the focal point of this year’s COMPUTEX.
The gradual maturing technology in clouds computing applications,
the intelligent networking already becomes part of daily life and global trend,
which paying close attention to China’s market
that greatly promoting IOT and IOT applications into the industry.
These two new BC Awards will let buyer to grasp ICT industry topic new product.
BC Award reaches 10 years, 260 nearly outstanding ICT
products set to jump onto the international arena
The numerous participating exhibitors in the COMPUTEX TAIPEI
will introduce more than 10,000 products during exhibition period every year,
in order for overseas buyers to find the most outstanding
ICT products fast in a one-stop platform,
which is why the organizer established BC Award in 2002,
in order to help the manufacturers to sell
their award-winning products as the COMPUTEX Best Products to the world. After 10 years,
there were more than 3,000 outstanding products participated in the contest,
which this year obtained nearly 260 products, among them there are from small
and medium enterprises. The glorious of BC Award has caught
attention from the media and buyer at home and abroad,
getting more long-term orders!
BC Award becomes the best purchasing assurance for overseas buyers.
In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BC Award,
the organizer will hold Media Party, located in Best Choice Pavilion on May 31st,
which is cordially inviting the domestic and international
media to attend that will offer the light snacks and beverage,
including product showcasing and announcement of Media’s Choice Award Winner,
giving exclusive lucky draw activity to media representatives who participate in voting.
Furthermore, there will be a party for buyers in Best Choice
Pavilion during CompuFesta activity which is held on June 1st.
The award winner will become the spotlight of COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011.

The reception of favorable comment from overseas buyers in the COMPUTREND pavilions,
TCA arranges press conference before BC Award exhibition is exposed,
in order for various types products to be highlighted,
containing the hottest smart hand-held devices, cloud computing application
car electronics telematics, digital signage, touch controller screen, 3D display, Android products and etc.
